Current Grant Funding Opportunities


HRCS has received funding from the Emergency Solutions Grant-Coronavirus program (ESG-CV) for the purpose of addressing COVID-19 related activities and homeless services throughout Placer and Nevada Counties. The amount of funding available is:


  • Placer County CA-515     $478,000
  • Nevada County CA-531   $421,036


Prospective applicants must complete and submit a Statement of Interest (SOI) form outlining the proposed project and agency qualifications. Please include a description of expected outcomes as well as the anticipated timeline of your project. Agencies who submit an SOI by the deadline will be invited by HRCS to participate in the Request for Proposal (RFP) process.


All statements of interest are due by October 13, 2020.

CoC Competition Funding


The Homeless Resource Council of the Sierras is the U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) designated collaborative applicant for the Continuums of Care, CA-515 and CA-531, serving Placer and Nevada Counties.


Annually, HRCS consolidates community-wide information into a single application and submits it to HUD.  Participating agencies participate in this comprehensive collaborative application process that brings in over $1 million for needed support to local programs in Placer and Nevada Counties. 


HUD provides these Continuum of Care grants to help end homelessness and provide critically needed support to local programs on the front lines of serving individuals and families experiencing homelessness and supports the work toward the goal of ending homelessness​.
